FOOD WAS SO GOOD and so close to UCLA since it's in Westwood. You order and pay first before getting your food and welcome to sit anywhere. Place is decently spacious as well!

Tasty Yunnan noodles in Westwood! Yunnan noodles are kinda hard to come by in the US so this is a nice spot to have in LA. You first order through a kiosk and then sit down at the table. Water, utensils, and side dishes are self serve. They offer some condiments like chili oil, vinegar, soy sauce on each table. Service is very basic as they only bring you your bowl. Ambience could probably do with some background music. Now the food is really good. Noodles are very authentic and the broth is really great. I got the Double Chili Beef Noodles but I didn't really think it was that spicy. Prices are relatively cheap for Westwood but I've seen cheaper for Yunnan Noodles elsewhere. Very solid spot for food!

A reliable place to eat! I always love how authentic the food is and it's so hard to find a place that specifically serves Mi xian. The place is mainly self serve and there are some side dishes that you can get at the front. Very casual vibes - a good place to go with friends for something in the middle of dining out and eating homecooked food. Service was average!

Amazing Chinese food for a decent price! It's my first time ordering the braised brisket with rice, and it absolutely blew my mind. No wonder they say it's their top selling item. The beef is braised very thoroughly and soaks up the broth really well. The broth is very flavorful and on the oily side. The cabbage and wood ear mushroom are nice compliments to the beef. The side dishes are good to have but slightly pricey imo so they're not necessary. In addition, they have the Scihuan green pepper oil on the table. It's my first time seeing a Chinese restaurant including it as table side condiment. It goes amazingly well with the beef and Sid dishes. The service is non existent cuz it's self service. Nice and chill Chinese restaurant vibe.

Wanted to get some soup on a rainy night in Westwood village before going to watch UCLA basketball. I would say it's authentic Asian food, because other customers and workers seemed to have English as a second language. My daughter had been wanting hot pot and wasn't disappointed.

I wasn't expecting much and saw no other customers when I arrived, but glad to give this place a try. I enjoyed the Grandma's Dry Mixian dish. I think the noodles have an excellent chewy texture and overall good flavor, with some tiny hard bits (from some kind of spice?). I would order this again. They have a digital menu so you can see how the dishes look. The service was fine and the waiter brought extra bowls when requested. It's a good place to have a quiet meal by yourself or with a group of friends and family.

Servers were SO AWESOME!! They are very kind and willing to help out. Food was great, and it was a home-y aesthetic. I would suggest eating here! Thank you to those who helped us out today, we appreciate you. God bless!

I'm a big fan of Mr Rice, and at least to my knowledge, there aren't too many restaurants of this same style in Los Angeles. I'm assuming this location is at least somewhat affiliated to the Rowland Heights location, which I used to eat at when I lived down in Fullerton. I'll say this location is not quite as good as the one in SGV, but I still very much enjoyed my meal here. If you're looking for some good Chinese food by UCLA, it will be hard to find much better. Go ahead and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!
